Besides her parents Rita was pre-deceased by brothers; Irvine, Edward, William and sisters, Della White and Winnifred Ross.  Rita was also predeceased by her brother in laws, Harold and Earl White, Fred Ross and Russell Chambers.  Rita was also predeceased by her grandson Ryan Weston.

Rita began dating Arnie when she was only 18 and the couple married and soon started a family.  Throughout her life Rita was known for her love and care of children. Rita babysat for years and these children continued to visit well after they were grown and married with children of their own.  All of the children in the neighbourhood loved to visit when Rita made bread as they could take turns kneading the bread dough.  She always took such pleasure in showing them her technique and giving them a slice of warm bread when it was cooked. Rita wasn’t just wonderful baker, she could knit, sew, and she made beautiful quilts which have made their way all over the world.  Rita enjoyed doing ceramics and has made several lovely pieces.  Rita sold Avon for years and did very well which earned her several trips to the Head Office in Montreal. Rita enjoyed listening to Arnie play the fiddle and they travelled to country shows around New Brunswick. Rita belonged to Hammond River Valley Seniors, St. Peter’s Anglican A.C.W., Saint Martins Eastern Star and was a member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church.

Rita’s health started to worsen and she went to Willow House in Loch Lomond Village in September 2016.  We her family want to thank the special angels that work on Willow House for their compassion and love shown to our Mother and Wife.  They went above and beyond what is required of them to do.  They loved our Mom and Wife as if she was their own loved one.
