Lori Legassick, 52, of Fort McMurray, AB, wife of Peter Legassick, passed away June 15, 2012 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. She was born in Sackville, NB, daughter of Lorna (Bellamy) Etter and the late Donald Etter.
Lori was an Administrative Assistant with Syncrude. She loved listening to music.
She is survived by her husband, Peter; mother, Lorna; one son, Richard Legassick; four sisters, Marilyn Downs (Bill), Port Elgin, NB, Linda Fury, Sackville, NB, Virginia Tingley (Austin), Point-de-Bute, NB, Rosie Landry (Edgar), Point-de-Bute, NB; one brother, Stephen Etter (Debi), Sackville, NB; two sisters-in-law, Judie, Hampton, Susan, Brampton, ON; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers-in-law, Keith Fury and Desi Legassick.
The family will receive friends at Reid’s Funeral Home (506-832-5541), 1063 Main Street, Hampton, on Monday from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. The funeral will be held 1:00pm, Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Hampton. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. A reception will be held at the Hampton Legion Hall following the interment. Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice. Online memorials and condolences can be made at: www.reidsfh.com

So sorry Peter to hear of Lori's passing! Lori and you have been so good to Bill and I. We appreciated everything you done for us!! Prayers to both families! We'll certainly remember all the laughs we had in Fort McMurray! Heaven will shine a lot brighter now!!! So glad we got to know you both!! May God embrace you all at this time!!

My deepest condolences to Peter & all of Lori's family, all of her friends at work in Syncrude considered her part of our little family and will miss her very much and we pray she rests in peace. Lori was such a great co-worker and loved helping people and she always had a smile on her face. I am so glad I had a chance to see her before she left for NB, but I hoped it would not be the last time I was going to see her..sadly it was. It was my privilege to know her and call her friend.

My sincere condolences to Peter and Lori's family. I worked with Lori at Syncrude and just retired back to N.B. in November 2011. I was really looking forward to seeing Lori here in N.B. She was a wonderful co-worker and was always helping other people and will be missed lots.

After being re-connected with Lori (since high school), several years ago, it was easy to tell how much Lori's family meant to her and how lucky she was to have you all in her life. I will surely miss chatting with her and reading her daily update on the weather from 'The Fort'.

I am truly saddened by Lori's death. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness I feel for you and your family.
Having had the privilege to meet Lori 4 years ago. For me Lori was more than just a co-worker; she was an amazing person, she had such a sense of humor. She was always so kind and friendly to me that I always welcomed seeing her at every opportunity. Her passing will not only leave a void in my life, but in the hearts of everyone who knew her. Lori's memory will always remain deep within my heart.
She will be greatly missed.

Lori will be sincerely missed by her Syncrude family - however the kindness and genuine caring she displayed to all around her will always be with us. Knowing the many conversations we had about Hampton and New Brunswick, we are so glad Lori was able to return to her beloved New Brunswick.
