A Celebration-of-Life Service and Reception will be held for Ron Kincade, one of Saint John’s business leaders and a long time Real Estate Professional, on April 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. at St. James the Less Church at 1760 Rothesay Road. The husband of Pauline (Kilpatrick) Kincade for 61 years, he has gone home to the Lord in loving peace on April 10th at Saint John Regional Hospital after a short bout with cancer. Ron recently achieved his most cherished accomplishment with the publishing of his second Christian book “God’s Holy Nation.” A fourteen-year culmination of study, prayer and research, the “provocative and yet inspiring” publication was his joy and final achievement to a happy and successful life.
Born in Codys, NB, on August 22, 1930, Ron enjoyed a long career beginning with teaching school, sales, being a CPR police officer and then a shift superintendent at both Saint John Sugar Refinery and Montreal Redpath Sugar. He took his wife to Montreal in 1952 where their three children were born. After 11 years, the family moved back to Saint John and Hampton, NB and in 1968, Ron found his career calling as a real estate agent and broker. A top sales agent at Central Trust Company for several years, Ron then ran his own companies and dealt with mainly real estate and property management. It was a labor of love for his whole family.
In his spare time and in retirement, Ron enjoyed studying the bible, sharing his testimony about Jesus with others, golfing, dancing, playing the fiddle, bridge and most card games and going to Florida during the winter months.
The son of the late James and Daisie (Browne) Kincade, he is survived by his loving wife and business partner, Pauline, daughters: Debra (Gregory) Renton of Dipper Harbour and Joni (Laurens) Plomp of Houston, Texas and son Steve (Judy) Kincade of Saint John. Ron’s siblings are Hazel Doris (the late Charles) McLean, Norval (the late Eva) Kincade, Bessie Kincade, Vera Erb (Murray Chappel), Velzora (Kenneth) Todd, Joanne Galbraith (Doug Manning) and Ronald MacDonald. Those with the Lord are: Zelda (Basil) Carle, Russell Kincade, Verna Kincade, Donna Varga, Margaret Shaw, Glenna Kincade and Shirley Kincade. Ron is also survived by siblings-in-law Steve Varga, Audrey Kincade and Jim Shaw. He has 46 nieces and nephews, 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Ron’s grandchildren include Jennifer Ryan, Laura Snow, Catherine Scheller, Daniel Renton, Stephanie Kincade, James Kincade, Jessica Graham, Michelle Stockford, Matthew Stockford and the late Alanna Plomp. Great-grandchildren who love Papa are Jenna Snow, Morgan Phillips, Hunter Ryan, Maia Snow, Tyler Graham, Landon Ryan, Kate Graham, Gregor Graham, Ava Galbraith, Harper Scheller and Monica Ryan.
There will be a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 21st at the church and again on Sunday at 1 p.m., an hour before the service. After the reception, Ron will rest at Titusville Hill Cemetery in Titusville, NB. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Reid’s Funeral Home in Hampton (506-832-5541.)
Donations in Ron’s memory may be made to his church St. James the Less in Rothesay or to the donor’s choice. Online memorials and condolences may be made at www.reidsfh.com

We are sad to hear about Uncle Ron's passing. We always so enjoyed our conversations with him over the years and in each conversation, we always learned something new, mostly Real Estate related. He always had time to chat with us. He was so kind and gentle spoken and so loved his family. He and Aunt Pauline were a wonderful couple. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed. What wonderful memories he leaves for all of us.
Our deepest sympathy to Aunt Pauline, Debbie, Joni, Steve & your families.

My heartfelt sympathy to you, Aunt Pauline, Debbie, Joni, and Steve. My grieving is helped by knowing he is with our Lord. The comfort this brings consoles me but sadness nonetheless. Uncle Ron was an inspiration to so many. His book has helped me so much to understand God's plan, it is a blessing and comfort to me. (Note to readers: Ron's sister, Bessie Kincade, AKA "Betty Erb" of Passekeag.)

I am so glad my Uncle Ronnie knew the Lord Jesus as his Saviour and despite the fact that his past months held a lot of sufering, he is free from all that now. I have a special memory from my childhood of Uncle Ronnie and Aunt Pauline driving my sister and I and I think Debbie and Joni, to a restaurant. It was a rare occasion for Jeannie and I so we were excited. I remember hearing the deep rich sound of Uncle Ronnie singing "Don't Fence me In"-strange, the things you remember as a child. I don't remember hearing that song again, until the Saturday before Uncle Ronnie died. I turned on the radio and they were singing that song! That memory immediately flashed back to me-then a few days later, his earthly fence was gone, and he was set free! I loved him and my dear Aunt Pauline. God bless you and your family. My Mom, Doris, was extremely proud of her brother and it is sad that she cannot be there at his memorial. Lord willing, we will represent her, Love, Luell, Mark and family

My thoughts and sincerest sympathies are with the Kincades. It has been many years since I've worked with you, but I always think of all of you fondly. Ron was a very stong man, in business and in life. Warm regards to Pauline, Steve, Joni , and Deb. May you find comfort in your many memories, and strength in the support of your family and friends.
